After many years of heavy lobbying Ontario's Ministry of Transportation finally made the necessary changes to the Highway Traffic Act addressing the very impractical 4-way-stop signage. Starting April 1st, middle aged women driving SUV's and men over the age of 55 driving luxury sedans will no longer need to make a full stop at a stop sign and will enjoy the right of way at 4-way-stop intersections. The spokeswoman for Ministry of Transportation explained in a statement that the changes will free up police enforcement resources and will allow our cops to focus on other, more important traffic safety issues.
