This bad-ass hooligan is better than sex

Whenever we have a visit by a bad boy like this, I feel it’s my duty to share it with you, just in case one of you with his/her blood still warm enough decides to sell everything and do the right thing – buy a real car.

This outrageous set of wheels is a legend. The nuts from Stuttgart built the first 911 Turbo in 1974. It had a powerful (for its day) 260 hp turbo engine positioned way, way in the back of the car, with lots of turbo lag. As a result the car would accelerate and brake like nothing else in the world, but its twitchy handling gave it a reputation of a car that would separate good drivers from the wannabes.

If you went into a corner too hot and lifted the gas pedal to slow down, the rear end would immediately step out, sending you into the ditch or guardrail tail first. You had to stay on the gas, but if you gave it too much, you’d put the tail in the ditch again. You had to steer the car with the gas pedal and the steering wheel at the same time, fine tuning the balance between the two through the corner. The excessive turbo lag made it even more difficult, because you had to have felt where the turbocharger would kick in or stop force-feeding the air into the engine. Other than that, the car was great!

This newer 2007 car, although tamed with better suspension, better engine and electronic controls, still belongs to the bad-boy club. It’s crazy fast as it is and you can always turn the electronics off and make the car dance on your favorite twisty stretch. 480 hp and 3.9 s 0 – 100 km/h will always put a smile on yours and suck all the blood from your passenger’s face.

Ours only has 35,000 km on it. It was $200,000 + tax new and can be yours for only $85,000 + tax. Think of the money you can save and fun you can have!
