Daniel Craig and the new 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish would be a perfect match. Just like my favorite James Bond, the car’s powerful, almost brutal stance, stunningly delicate details and the monster 565 hp, 457 lb-ft of torque, 5.9 liter V-12 show what it means to be a real man.
In Skyfall, James drove (and destroyed) an old DB5 Aston Martin, so the next Bond movie will hopefully pair Mr. Craig with the new Vanquish. And so it should, since the new Aston goes back to the virtues that supercars (just like real men) used to be known for. In the sea of mediocre sedans or overkill quirkiness, the new Aston flagship serves up powerful muscular lines, a beautifully crafted interior and speed worthy of superheroes. The car is ready to strike at any opponent with brutal power, yet offers an easy going character and pampers its driver with luxury and tenderness worthy of a perfect lover. Just like real men used to do.
At $300,000, the Aston could be considered a bargain, or prohibitively expensive, depending on your point of view. Real men can cost a lot more to find and make them commit to some women, yet come free to women who are skillful enough in their trickery to wrap them around their finger.
In the end it’s all about love and lust, and the Vanquish delivers with its refined, yet manly looks and convincing (4.1 seconds 0 – 60 mph and 183 mph top speed) performance.
