The new SL - it's almost been 60 years since the first generation


It’s almost been 60 years since the Mercedes-Benz SL cars have been around. Always great looking with classy lines, the SL has been rewarding to drive, luxurious and comfortable.

My favorite one was the 1968 model pictured on top. Nice clean lines and more compact dimensions make the car sexy, sporty and elegant at the same time.


The new car is a fantastic performer, if not the best looking convertible out there. It is a big car now, but is constructed mostly from aluminum, so it’s light and relatively nimble.
